AKASH PLAYS SAROD
"Yesterday it was remarkable Indian classical music concert... It is quite surprising that in Moscow we can touch the art of such an incredible level. And not less surprising is that in principle there is in the abilities of a person to achieve such a high level of Mastery.
Akash, sarod player, seemed to emanate music by himself, the sounds of raga filled the space (akasha) and blossomed like an exotic plants. And only look at them is capable of turn over the inner world of man, so irresistible are their fantastic colors and harmonious beauty".

The name Akash was given to sarod player, composer and teacher Sergey Ancupov by his legendary guru Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. Therefore Akash belongs to Senia Bangash gharana of North Indian Classical Music.
The word "akash" means: aether (the fifth element), heaven, universe consciousness space.
Akash was born at far East of Russia, lives in Latvia.
Sarted to play guitar ar age of 6 and sarod since 1981.
